The best Fyxer alternatives in 2026

Updated

Short answer: If you want what Fyxer does across more than email, Lowtide is our pick on a Mac: the replies you owe, the answers you’re waiting on and the promises from your meetings, from Gmail, Slack and the notes you already take, in one list with drafts, free during early access. Inside the inbox, Superhuman and Inbox Zero also sort mail and draft in your voice, Cora clears Gmail, and alfred_ adds Outlook, iCloud and texting.

We compared what each one covers, how it handles meetings, what it costs and who it suits, from each product’s own site on October 20, 2026. Lowtide is ours, and we’ve put it first; the rest are in the order we’d try them.

1. Lowtide: best for one list across email, Slack and meetings

Fyxer sorts your inbox and follows up on email and meetings. Lowtide covers the same ground and the places Fyxer doesn’t: Slack messages that need your reply and Slack questions nobody answered, promises from the notes you already take with Granola or the recap your meeting tool emails you, plus pull request reviews and Linear issues. All of it sits in one short list in your Mac’s menu bar, each with a draft in your voice, free during early access. It needs macOS 26 and Gmail.

2. Superhuman: best if you want a new email app

Superhuman replaces your email app with a very fast one, for Gmail or Outlook on every platform. Its Auto Reminders bring back emails nobody answered, and Auto Drafts, on the $40 Business plan, writes the follow-up.

3. Inbox Zero: best for Outlook on a budget

Inbox Zero sorts and labels mail, drafts in your voice and tracks what’s awaiting a reply, for Gmail and Outlook, from $20 a month or $18 billed annually; Plus adds an AI meeting notetaker and Slack. Its code is open.

4. alfred_: best as an assistant you can text

alfred_ keeps a Needs you list and a morning brief of who you’re waiting on, drafts in your voice and never sends on its own. It works with Gmail, Outlook, iCloud and IMAP, on the web, your iPhone, by text, and in Slack and Teams, from $25 a month billed annually.

5. Cora: best for clearing Gmail

Cora keeps only the email you must answer in your inbox, drafts replies, and briefs you on the rest twice a day, from $20 a month billed annually. Gmail only, and no meeting notes.

6. Shortwave: best AI email app for Gmail

Shortwave is a Gmail client with AI search and filters, drafts that learn from your sent mail, and reminders when nobody replies. It has a free plan; Pro is $18 a month.

What Fyxer does that most of these don’t

Fyxer records your meetings itself and drafts a follow-up email after each one, works inside Outlook and Teams as well as Gmail, and has team plans where follow-ups have a shared owner. If you need all three, it’s still a strong choice.

Questions people ask

Is there a free alternative to Fyxer?

Lowtide is free while it’s in early access, Shortwave has a free plan, and Gmail’s own nudges cost nothing. Fyxer itself has a free plan, though inbox sorting and drafts start with Pro.

What’s the best Fyxer alternative for Outlook?

Superhuman, Inbox Zero and alfred_ all work with Outlook. Lowtide, Cora and Shortwave are Gmail only for now.

Does Lowtide record meetings like Fyxer?

No. Lowtide reads the notes you already have, from Granola or the recap Zoom, Google Meet, Fathom, Fireflies or Otter emails you, and turns what you promised into cards that stay until they’re done.
